ALDIN ADVOCACY: COURT AUTHORITY COMMITS TO SUPPORT LAWYERS WITH DISABILITIES
It was a good development and a cheering news, consequent of ALDIN’s advocacy, that the Court of Appeal, Calabar Division yesterday, commits to making necessary assistive arrangement for lawyers with disabilities (LWDs) who may have business to do in the court. They enjoined that they be informed ahead of time, of the coming of a lawyer with disability and they shall make necessary interventions, including but not limited to:
1. having the Court sit on the ground floor,
2. having all the LWD’s matters fixed for one day.
3.the HoD Litigation, coming downstairs to attend to the LWD.
ALDIN expresses excitement at this very important inclusion success and urge all courts in Nigeria to do the same
